It's never too late to start over, to try again.  Life is boring if we never take risks.  By definition, sometimes you will fail if you take a risk, that's why it's called "risk."  But I don't see these instances as failures.  I see it as data, information about what does and doesn't work for you.  And that might be different than what works for someone else, which is fine.  You're on your own journey with your own unique talents, interests and resources.  This individuality is what makes world go around.  Civilization would cease to exist if we were all the same.  Go be you today.  Take a risk, try something new.
