Meet Katy

No, you don't. Because "fat" is not a feeling. I'm serious. Ask any therapist.

But I get it. Culturally we use this phrase all the time, and we have a mutual understanding of what it means. On any given day, feeling "fat" can mean a variety of things. It can mean "I feel…."

  • Frustrated
  • Lonely
  • Angry
  • Sad
  • Inadequate
  • And so on…..

So next time you're feeling "fat", honor the fact that you're feeling something.  But then pause and ask yourself "What am I really feeling?"
