Meet Katy

Our local community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 2 of it's members over the weekend.  Both died from suicide.  The sad truth is that people are dying from suicide every day.  As someone who has personally experienced the death of a family member due to suicide, I believe it's important we are talking about this.  Shame and stigma are not helpful. 

Know the warning signs:

  • Hopelessness
  • Unbearable pain
  • Feeling like there's no reason to live
  • Withdrawing from activities
  • Acting recklessly
  • Isolating from family and friends
  • Spontaneous expression of love
  • Saying goodbye
  • Giving away possessions
  • Depression
  • Rage
  • Irritability
