New Year's resolutions all too often involve goals of weight loss via dieting.   [Cue the endless diet commercials on TV this time of year].  

News flash: dieting doesn't work.  Nope, you're not the exception to this, sorry. 

If diets worked people wouldn't keep going on them.  If diets worked we wouldn't have surgeons putting bands around or cutting out portions of patients' stomachs.  

Don't beat yourself up if you fell for the marketing ambush.  A lot of people did.  But now that you see what's happening, stop dieting.  In fact, vow to never diet again.
