The easiest path tends to be the one most traveled. The grooves are well-worn. It is familiar. Low-risk. Less scary.
The path less traveled is almost always more difficult. However, often we learn more when something is difficult. It is harder for your brain to go on autopilot so we naturally become more aware and mindful.
I am not saying that it is necessary to choose the more difficult path for the sake of it being harder. What I am saying is that sometimes the path of least resistance is boring and leaves little opportunity for growth.
