If you're not being true to yourself, you're not being authentic to other people either.  When we strive to appear to be something we're not we give our power away. 

What about being your true self instead?  We were all created with unique gifts and traits.  It's the variety of these characteristics that makes the world functional. 

So embrace what makes you YOU.  Others will appreciate the authenticity, and those who don't clearly have their own issues, so don't sweat it.  When you are attuned to the spirit that naturally resides within, you will find your place in the world.  It takes courage.  And it's worth it.
