Meet Katy

If you're not getting your basic needs met you're much more likely to turn to food for comfort.  These needs are valid, and they deserve to be met.  Give yourself grace and compassion when food doesn't do the trick.  Recognizing what your needs are is the key to getting them met.

Are you getting enough sleep?

How much are you working?

Do you have work-life balance?

Are you stressed out?  About what?

Do you need to set some boundaries with anyone in your life?

Are you having enough fun?

Experiencing joy?

How about strong social connections?

If you're lacking in any of these areas it's time for some self care.  And with food remember to provide yourself with consistent, predictable opportunities to eat throughout the day and allow yourself to eat what you really want.  Trust that your body will tell you what and how much it needs.
