Meet Katy

We have an epidemic – fear and paranoia about food are rampant.  It's destroying our relationship with food.

You don't have to look too hard to find a list of "good vs bad" foods, and the funny thing is that if you compare multiple lists you'll find that some foods are sometimes on the "good" list and other times on the "bad" list.  How confusing.

If you took every food that you've ever been told not to eat you'd be left with very few acceptable foods.  I'd be pretty bummed if all I could eat was organic kale (and I'd quickly develop ketosis, muscle loss, and malnutrition).

Even terms like "clean eating" taint our relationship with food.  Does this mean there is also "dirty eating?"  And what does that even mean?  How ridiculous.

Here's my proposal: Eat satisfying foods when you are hungry.  Stop when you are comfortably full.  Consider your body fueled and live vibrantly.  Regain pleasure in eating.
