- Eat well. This means eating food that is pleasurable and satisfying. Sure, be intentional about nourishing your body with nutritious food, but not to the point that you sacrifice pleasure. Eating should be enjoyable.
2. Enjoy movement. Move your body in ways that are life-enhancing. If you totally dig working out at the gym, great. But don't be afraid to think outside the box. Play at the park with your kids, hit up the neighborhood pool, join a rec league volleyball team, take a walk in a scenic neighborhood…whatever floats your boat!
3. Manage stress. It's no secret that stress takes a toll on our health. Find ways to cope, and set limits around things that are causing excessive or undue stress in your life. It's ok to say NO!
4. Accept the body that results from these behaviors. No need to try and control your weight. It will take care of itself when you take care of your body. Health is not a size.
