Meet Katy

Have you ever heard of “attachment theory?” It’s a psychological theory about human development, and how our relationships with our early caregivers impact the way we relate to the world now.

Well guess what?

Your attachment style also impacts how you relate to food, and to your body.

In this podcast episode, I’ve got not one, but TWO special guests who are therapists that specialize in attachment theory, relational therapy and eating disorders. Vanessa Scaringi and Kathryn Garland co-own CALM Counseling, a group therapy practice in Austin, Texas. They came on the show to discuss this fascinating topic and how we can all apply it in our lives.

Pull up a seat because we’re going to diving into all the juicy details about how your attachment style relates to your eating and your body image. We also talk about how social media impacts our attachment patterns, and for those of you who are parents or who have little people in your life – how to help your kids grow up with a positive relationship to food and their bodies.

This is such a powerful and thought-provoking episode, and I can’t wait for you to give it a listen.
