Meet Katy

In this podcast episode, I have a special guest. Serena Marie is a fellow non-diet dietitian, and she’s also a sports dietitian, so she has this really cool perspective on how we can combine the world of exercise with food freedom and intuitive eating and it’s SO REFRESHING!

Serena’s focus in her work is primarily around running, so you’ll hear us referencing running a lot throughout this discussion, but even if you’re not a runner or you aren’t currently exercising on a routine basis, this episode is still for you because you’re going to learn how to think about viewing your body as your teammate as Serena calls it.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • How you can have peace with food while still being intentional about your nutrition
  • Tips for hydration (and the truth about how much water you *actually* need each day)
  • Ideas and examples of the perfect pre- and post-workout snacks
  • Common pitfalls for you to avoid with exercise and intuitive eating
  • Ways intuitive eating might look different on the days you work out vs the days you don’t (especially if you’re doing endurance sports or are working out hard)

Listen in because you’re going to be feeling empowered and encouraged to give your body what it needs in conjunction with your workouts, without being diet-y about it.
