What we are taught:
Being Fat = BAD, lazy, disgusting, stupid, gross, sloppy, unmotivated, unhealthy, noncompliant, unsuccessful, sad, worthless, too much, ugly, unattractive, unlovable, poor role model
Being Thin = GOOD, successful, intelligent, healthy, happy, perfect, beautiful, lovely, trustworthy, superior, popular, pretty
Weight stigma is a very real thing. Consider your own weight biases, without shame. What have you been taught to believe? How can you challenge these biases and start to see people as individuals worthy of love and respect regardless of their size?
