Meet Katy

No doubt that we live in a toxic world when it comes to our relationship with food, exercise, health and weight.

But this is no excuse not to recover from your eating disorder.  In fact, you can recover in spite of it.

You can accept that right now our society is obsessed with dieting and thinness, and that the beauty/fashion industry is built on making you feel inferior.  It is what it is.  AND you can "do" recovery anyway.

Sure, you need to be aware of these environmental influences so you can protect yourself, but dwelling on them isn't going to heal your relationship with your own body.

Just because…

…your parents, classmates or coworkers are dieting doesn't mean that you can't fully nourish your body with enjoyable food.

… your social media feed is filled with fitspiration posts and people selling detox pills doesn't mean that you can't trust and appreciate your body as it is.

… the medical industry tells us that you'll be unhealthy if you gain weight doesn't mean that you need to use unhealthy behaviors to be thin.

… Netflix came out with a movie about anorexia doesn't mean you have to watch it, let alone use the behaviors the actress uses.

… your neighbor ran a marathon doesn't mean you're worthless if you don't do one.

… you gained 5 or 50 lbs. doesn't mean you're less of a wonderful person.

What do YOU need to do to recover?  Do these things.
