Meet Katy

In statistics n is the sample size of the population N. We are all our own n, an experiment of one.  What works for me might not work for you, and that is okay.  It doesn't mean that either of us is right or wrong, just different.  Each of us is a constellation of our own genetics combined with life experiences that color the way we experience the world.

Recovery is an experiment.  You are both the scientist and the subject.  Gather data about yourself, without judgment – this is key.  Judgment clouds the results.  Use your mind's eye to observe what happens, and make adjustments that keep you on the path to recovery.  You will need support in this experiment.  Even researchers operate as a team.  We all have blind spots and biases, so getting feedback and guidance is essential.

There are no failures in this experiment, just data.  If something you try doesn't work, that is a golden nugget, a valuable piece of information that guides you along the way.  Collect these golden nuggets like treasures.  They are worth their weight in gold.
