Meet Katy

Can't…stop…eating…

Unsatiable appetite, can't get enough.  Yet you start to feel uncomfortably full and want to keep eating anyway.

These are signs of emotional hunger.  No amount of food will fill this void.  You can use food to numb or distract, but when the fog lifts you're still left with unresolved emotion.

Don't think of it as a battle to be tough though.  Think of the emotional hunger as a signal from your body that you have unmet needs.  Those needs 100% valid.  And unless you are truly physically hungry, these needs have nothing to do with food.

So ask yourself "What do I need right now outside of food?"  Give yourself permission to honor this need.
